It has been said that the state lotteries are a voluntary tax on those who can't do math. I think I know what they drink.
The pay-at-pump mechanism was down when I just stopped for gas, so I went inside and got in line. The woman in front of me sensed a receptacle for her rant, so she turned and started railing about paying over $3 for a gallon of gas.
I noticed she was clutching a bottle of water to purchase. So, $3 is too much to pay for a liquid that must be drilled for and refined, but $10/gallon for tap water is okay?
